Common restoration problem found on older homes – porch or pent roof is sagging and pulling away from the house wall.  Involving all (3) of our trade expertise in carpentry, masonry, and roofing.

Front pent roof with slate shingles sagging and allowing water entry along wall causing deterioration to the wood framing and brick veneer.

Temporary shoring for structural protection.  Large gap at wall now causing water damage along with the original problem of the brick wall anchors for the pent support have deteriorated over time and pulled loose.

Damage to the main structural wood framing wall plate and rafters.

Previous inadequate repair (note (4) newer rafters at end) that did not provide permanent restoration allowing damage to continue.

Damage to brick veneer from water migration going undetected for years.

Remove damaged brick veneer which had lost its structural ability.

New structural framing.

New roof rafters.

New pent structure under construction.

Completed pent with new copper standing seam roof which is a nice aesthetic improvement.  Existing slate was removed and stockpiled for customers future maintenance on main roof.
